See A Live Band at the Cavern Club

Liverpool’s Cavern Club opened in 1957 in a warehouse cellar, and was regarded as the foundation of British Pop Music.   Still thriving as one of the most famous music venues in the world – be sure to check out some live music during your visit.

The original site was filled in during construction of the local rail network.  Today’s Cavern, sited just 20 metres from the original in Mathew Street, was built to the same plans as the original and as much of the surviving original materials as possible were used, mostly bricks.
