Holiday Hints & Hacks
Make photocopies of your passport and other important documents in case the real ones get stolen, and carry them separately. Send scanned copies to yourself via email
Be open to new experiences and always bring that little black dress.
Eat where the locals eat. Trying the local cuisine will save you more money and allow you to experience new and flavourful meals, usually avoiding hiked-up tourist prices.
Sometimes luggage goes missing, so pack your essentials and some spare clothes in your hand baggage…just in case.
Roll your clothes when packing. Instead of creating a folded pile in your suitcase, rolling allows you to fit more things in. Plus, you can even roll underwear and socks within your clothes for optimal space-saving.
Store your mobile phone in a sandwich bag whilst at the beach. A great way to protect your phone from sand and water, and you can also use it through the bag if your hands are wet & sandy.
Travelling with someone? Then book a window and an aisle seat – the middle will likely remain empty if the flight isn’t full. If it is chances are that passenger will be happy to swap.
Bring a multi-plug power strip with you on your travels. You’ll never have to wait for a plug socket to be available again and no doubt make friends!
