Legal Requirements for UK citizens marrying in Italy:
Very easy process when done with our assistance. Uk couples must give notice of marriage at their local registry office which will raise the bans for 21 days after which time their certificates of no impediment are issued. The couple sends this along with their original birth certificates (long version with parents' info.), previous original marriage certificates and divorce/widow decrees (if any) and very clear copies of their passports. Uk citizens must be of at least 18 yrs. of age.
If they have changed their name at any time in their life, they must also produce original name deed polls. A declaration is required at the town hall in the town in which they are marrying with our assistance.
Legal Requirements for US citizens marrying in Italy:
Very easy process when done with our assistance. US citizens must complete atto notorios done in Florence or Rome with us and couples must produce their original passports for this. The other document required is the sworn statement done at the US Embassy or Consulate with us in Rome, Milan or Florence.
Depending on the type of wedding, a declaration may be required at the town hall in the town in which they are marrying.
Overall Note: There is a law in Italy that 300 days must pass from the time the bride can remarry in Italy(if previously married)and this must be proven through her original divorce decree where the date must be visible that her previous marriage was finalized.
