For a refreshing break away from the cold, dark days of a UK winter, a holiday in one of The Canary Islands is a great choice.
The Canary Islands lie off the west coast of Africa and exist as an independent community belonging to Spain. There are seven major islands (Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro) in the archipelago, including a few smaller islands and islets.
Holidays to the Canaries, especially Lanzarote, are one of our UK clients preferred Canarian destinations for weddings closer to home. Enjoying a subtropical climate with warm temperatures, low rainfall and endless sunshine throughout the year. You don’t have to go far to find peace, tranquillity and some of the best scenery Lanzarote has to offer.
Celebrate your wedding in one of our four favourite unique special venues:
Montañas del Fuego – Timanfaya “Fire Mountains”
Here you will find a special restaurant with a natural oven where they cook with the natural heat from the ground.
This has one of the most spectacular views overlooking the volcanoes.
Jameos del Agua
This unique venue is set in a volcanic cave with a natural, clear water lake (home to a rare species of blind albino crabs) offering stunning scenery. César Manrique created a setting of artistically arranged flora with a complex of restaurant, bar, cafeteria, concert cave.
Ceremonies can be performed on the private terrace with fabulous sea views, then it is possible to have your cocktail reception around the exquisite pool area. Move on inside the cave and experience the fabulous restaurant for your wedding breakfast.
The Castillo San José
A small castle that is now an international museum of modern art. With it’s stylish restaurant and bar, predominantly decorated and furnished in black, offering international cuisine. The huge picture window occupying the entire front of the restaurant, overlooking the busy Puerto de los Mármoles harbour is a perfect choice for your wedding setting.
Once the home of Omar Sharif and supposedly lost in a poker game. His loss is your gain because once you visit you’ll never want to leave this magical place. Another beautiful property designed by renowned Lanzarotean artist César Manrique. Now a gourmet Restaurant and Cultural Centre built on a rocky hill in Nazaret. A perfect backdrop for a spectacular small wedding.
